Recover

Statement:

    The project beginning with a recovery, an attempt to retrieve or recovering the fragments of a decaying body, as the body subjected to the tyranny of time is losing his battle.

    The obssesion for controling the body, to preserve its freshness awakens a vain struggle against time because time winner in advance, able to absorb it all, disintigrating matter to leave almost no trace of it, as if it never existed.

    "The fantasy of inmortality entails transparency of a body that appears to have revealed all its secrets. The developments of an aesthetic treatment of the image through the medicine that is already part of popular culture, has helped fuel the myth of his coming."¹

    As Curtine says, aesthetic todays is secretly present and active in the massmediology biopolitics in epistemological anarchism and comuncation theory.

    The grotesque of these decaying bodies is like a sensitive paradox that we can see, the face of a faceless world.
    The illness remind us we are mortal, all pain screams, health is only dumb.

    My work focuses on   memory loss through disintegration of the body, symbiosis of images that are perceived as a vague memory, reflection of a thought that as memory fades.

    La obra parte de un recover, un intento por recuperar o rescatar los fragmentos de un cuerpo que cae inevitablemente, como el cuerpo sometido a la tiranía del tiempo va perdiendo su batalla.

    La obsesión por el control del cuerpo, por conservar toda su frescura a contrareloj despierta una lucha vana pues el tiempo vencedor de antemano, capaz de absorberlo todo, desintegrando la materia hasta no dejar casi rastro de ella, como si nunca hubiera existido.

   “La fantasía de la inmortalidad lleva aparejada la transparencia de un cuerpo que parece haber revelado todos sus secretos. El desarrollo del tratamiento estético de la imagen a través de la medicina que ya forma parte de una cultura popular, ha contribuido a alimentar el mito de su advenimiento”.¹

   Lo grotesco de estos cuerpos decadentes no es sino una paradoja sensible a saber, el rostro de un mundo carente de rostro.
La enfermedad nos recuerda que somos mortales, todos los dolores gritan, sólo la salud es muda.

   Mi trabajo se centra en la pérdida de la memoria a través de la desintegración del cuerpo, simbiosis de imágenes que se perciben como un vago recuerdo, la reflexión de un pensamiento que se disipa como la memoria.
